Notification of Scam by Fair Guide and Expo Guide to Exhibitors

expo_scam_homepage

Recently, we have received numerous scam reports from various sources. It has come to our attention that many individuals / companies have been introducing themselves as International Furniture Fair Singapore (IFFS) or our partners to approach our exhibitors with discounted hotel rate, advertising solicitations or purchase of database. Thus, we would like to urge you to remain vigilant to avoid falling for scam.
If you are contacted  by unknown individual / company representing IFFS or the name of our co-locating event, NOOK Asia, and offering services, we urge exhibitors and attendees to proceed with extreme caution and do NOT provide any information or reply to any emails. Should you require any clarification, please feel free to drop us an e-mail before responding to them. Besides, all of our official partners and vendors are listed at: http://www.iffs.com.sg/contact-us/contact-us/  for your quick and easy reference.

Additionally, an online directory called Fair Guide has been contacting exhibitors as well, asking them to “update their free listing details” on various trade shows. Kindly be informed that the fine print of the directory listing includes a charge of around US$1500 annually. With this, please be aware that IFFS  and its partner events, are not in any way related with and do not endorse the proprietors or owners of the Fair Guide web site/s.

It also seems that another directory service from Mexico with a name Expo Guide is also luring exhibitors by sending requests to check the accuracy of their listing details and update their content via incessantly charging an estimate of US$1700 to those who took the bait.

Again, IFFS is not associated to Expo Guide and will in no way endorse such illegal practice. Our annual show is being held at the Singapore Expo but the said venue doesn’t have anything to do with Expo Guide’s web site/s.
