The adventure started with a press conference co-organised by IFFS and OGS, our Italian public relations agency, at Straf Hotel in Milan on 27 June. Over 35 media representatives across 20 trade publications joined us for the official presentation of IFFS 2018 (International Furniture Fair Singapore 2018), which will take place from 8 – 11 March at the Singapore EXPO.
It was announced that globally-renowned architect Giulio Cappellini will return to IFFS in 2018 to captivate the audience with an intriguing theme to continue the interesting story of the Italian Hospitality, which was well received by our international trade visitors at IFFS this year. The visually attractive and aesthetically pleasing curated space themed “The Italian New Renaissance” will soon be unveiled…
After the press conference, OGS organised the official presentation of the show to 12 Italian companies. According to the World Furniture Outlook 2017, the furniture consumption in 2017 is growing fast in the ASEAN markets and Singapore is a well-positioned strategic hub in the real estate market with 117 hospitality projects, new buildings, hotels and contract projects. The furniture industry is expanding with many international players and most of them are Italian companies, with high-end markets led by companies from Italy and North Europe.
On 29 June, a presentation of IFFS was made to the architectural department of DIDA at the University of Florence. Close to 30 company’s representatives, architects and opinion leaders attended the meeting. An evening networking together between companies, architects and IFFS team to better understand the opportunities offer by the show as a hub for the Italian companies to penetrate into the ASEAN countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia.
